Elderly Woman Robbed

Seniors are checking behind them and locking their doors in an apartment building where an 88-year-old woman was attacked on Saturday evening in Winnipeg''s North Kildonan neighbourhood. The woman, who is recovering in hospital, was hit in the face and knocked to the ground when a man pushed open the door to her suite and robbed her. According to police, the attacker took the woman''s wallet and then searched around her home. The woman was always very cautious about her safety but part of the problem is the main doors to the building close very slowly to allow seniors with scooters and wheelchairs to get inside. Police believe the suspect may have followed the woman into the building.
