Post-Flood Economic Stimulis Grants

Communities throughout Manitoba are receiving grants following the flooding of 2011. Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives Minister Ron Kostyshyn announced yesterday that 2.5 million will be given to 34 communities through 42 grants. The grants range from one thousand to a maximum of one hundred-thousand. The money is dedicated to projects that restore damaged tourist facilities, enhancing current tourism and promoting "Buy Local" campaigns to support local entrepreneurs.
