Winnipeg animal shelters are overwhelmed with dogs and desperate to find homes, prompting one to hold a Puppypalooza sale. Many of the canine castaways were Christmas presents that didn''t work out. Hull’s Haven, a volunteer-run non-profit rescue group says they have more than 50 dogs and no more foster homes to place them in. Similarly, the Winnipeg Humane Society has such a surplus that it is holding its first ever, “Puppypalooza” on Wednesday. During the “amazing one-day offer”, the pups are available for $100 with everything included – first shots, neutering or spaying.
