Motel Robbery Charges
Two employees of a motel in Ashern, Man., have been charged in connection to an armed robbery at the business. The two men, aged 26 and 29, have both been charged with theft over $5,000 and public mischief. The 26-year-old has also been charged with possession of marijuana while the 29-year-old has been further charged with failure to comply with a probation order. The charges come after a lengthy police investigation that was launched after a robbery on Dec. 14 at about 1:30 a.m. According to RCMP, a man went into the Sharptail Motor Inn, armed with a knife, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.
