Escaped Prisioner

Police in Winnipeg are searching for a man who escaped custody while being treated at the Health Sciences Centre. Stephane Martin Bissonnette, 29, was apparently being watched by guards from the Provincial Remand Centre when he escaped at about 9 p.m. on Sunday. He is awaiting trial on charges of robbery and firearms offences. Anyone with information regarding whereabouts of Bissonnette is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers.
