Flooding Gives Way to Drought?

After Manitoba dealt with last year''s record flooding some are afraid that this Summer could bring drought. The Province is already reporting that moderate drought conditions may prevail in Eastern Manitoba. Unseasonably mild weather is the cause for all this concern as snowfall in many places is well below normal. Despite many prairie rivers running high, forecasters are downgrading the risk of flooding this Spring. Manitoba will release its first spring flood forecast next month.
