Survivour of Northwestern Ontario Plane Crash Speaks
The only survivor of a plane crash in North Spirit Lake in Northwestern Ontario spoke of the accident today in Winnipeg. Brian Shead told reporters today at a press conference how he tried to save the lives of the other people who were aboard the plane but his attempts were in vain. After struggling to free the pilot of the plane he finally got the man out of the cockpit and dragged him out of the crashed plane and collapsed in the snow. Shead was taken to a nearby nursing station by authorities before being taken to Winnipeg''s Health Science Centre. He suffered a broken foot and ankle, along with a broken nose and other facial lacerations. Shead thanked the people from North Spirit Lake who helped him, along with the staff at The Health Science Centre.
