Drug Bust

A 50-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a million-dollar grow op by the Winnipeg police. Police made the bust, on Driftwood Bay in the Southdale neighbourhood, on Jan. 24. In the home, they found 914 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $1,023,680 and $20,000 in assorted grow-operation equipment. The man is facing charges of production of a controlled substance, possession for purposes of trafficking, and theft of hydro power. He has been released from custody on a promise to appear in court.
