Sex Offender Release

Manitobans are being cautioned about the release of a convicted sex offender who stalked and filmed young girls. Douglas Murray Shelvey, 65, has a criminal record for harassment, voyeurism and producing child pornography. Shelvey will be released from Headingley Correctional Centre on Saturday and is expected to take up residence in Winnipeg. He participated in some sex offender treatment programming while in prison but is considered at risk to re-offend.
