Beaten Woman Returns Home to Calgary

A woman who was found brutally beaten and left for dead on an elevator while staying in Mexico has returned home. Calgarian Sheila Nabb suffered severe facial injuries during an attack that took place while she was staying at a 5-star Mazatlan resort. Mexican authorities released information that they had caught the perpetrator on hotel surveillance footage but have not released anymore on the investigation. Authorities have not questioned Nabb because of doctors suggestions to let her have more time to recuperate. Nabb was due to undergo extensive facial reconstructive surgery but operations have been postponed because she has contracted pneumonia. The attack is just the latest of a series of violent crimes in Mexico that have left 2 Canadians dead and five assaulted.
