Fatal Winnipeg House Fire

Winnipeg Police announced yesterday that the house fire that killed four people and left an infant clinging to life was started by accident. Investigators say that the fire started in the basement though the exact cause is yet to be known. The fire that started Tuesday evening killed two young girls, Fayza and Aliza, along with their mother Zebunesa and their grandmother Shemeen. Police confirmed that they all passed away from smoke inhalation, and that there were smoke detectors in the house though it is still unclear whether they were in working order. Police say no one from the house called 911, the only emergency services were called from neighbouring houses. Hamid Farooq is the father of the family and was away at work when the fire took place. It''s been reported that Farooq has not left his baby daughter''s bedside.
