Sandy Bay Drug and Weapon Bust
Two Sandy Bay First Nation residents are facing a number of drug and weapon related offences following a seizure over the weekend. Saturday afternoon, Amaranth RCMP executed two search warrants at a residence in Sandy Bay First Nation. As a result of the search, 30 long guns were seized, one of which was confirmed to have been stolen from the Dauphin area as well as ammunition and a number of Prohibited Weapons. In addition, approximately 10.5 ounces of Marihuana, 9 grams of Cocaine and 287 tablets of Codeine were located. James Clifford Roulette of Sandy Bay First Nation, was arrested and has been charged with a number of offences. ROULETTE was remanded in custody. He appeared in court yesterday. Charges are pending against a 31 year old female.
