Games Come to a Close

The PowerSmart 2012 Manitoba Summer Games came to a close this weekend in Swan River. Despite setbacks from the weather and water issues due to the town''s lift station, athletes reported having a memorable time. Team Westman took home 37 medals, including 5 gold, to put them in 5th place. Westman was also the recipient of the Larry Desjardins Award, in recognition of their outstanding support of one another throughout the Games. Team Winnipeg Gold took the top spot, with a total medal count of 90.
