Cornwallis Rollover
A Winnipeg man is facing charges after a single vehicle rollover east of Brandon. Early this morning, RCMP were dispatched to a single vehicle roll over approximately 4 km''s east of Brandon, in the RM of Cornwallis. The rollover was caused when an east bound pick-up struck an electronic Highway construction warning sign, resulting in the vehicle losing control and rolling into the ditch. EMS from Brandon as well as RCMP investigators from Brandon and Souris attended the scene. A traffic analyst was called to assist in the investigation. The 32 year old male driver of the truck who resides in Winnipeg, is presently facing charges of Disqualified driving however, the matter remains under investigation, as alcohol also appears to have been a factor in the crash. The driver and lone occupant in the truck, was transported to Brandon Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
