Sentencing in Decapitation
Sentencing is underway for two young women responsible for a decapitation death. Roberta McIvor was found dead last summer at the Sandy Bay First Nation. When the suspects tried to throw McIvor from a vehicle in an attempted carjacking, the victim became entangled in her seatbelt. She was gruesomely killed, suffering a decapitation. The two girls, who were minors at the time of the incident, have pled guilty to manslaughter and are in court at Portage La Prairie for sentencing today.
