Salvation Army Benefits
The Manitoba Winter Fair was months ago, but Neepawa’s Salvation Army is reaping the benefits now. Eleven pigs had been acquired by the fair in late March for pig scrambles. Those pigs went on to be raised by volunteers until they reached slaughter size. When they were butchered, fresh pork was sent to several area food banks, including Neepawa Salvation Army. This is the second year in a row that the Winter Fair has donated a significant amount of high quality pork to local food banks.
